Simple Elegance

Posted by Unknown On 12:16 PM 0 comments

Today I planned a trip down Rodeo Drive for a little retail therapy. Shopping in SL has become one of my main priorities and jobs along with browsing the fashion blogs for any new goodies that I can find or new places that I had never heard before. It’s amazing that I find myself dressing up specially just to go shopping. Being in this fashion industry has certainly taken it’s toll but that’s no matter because I’m definitely not complaining! Here’s just glimpse of my day-to-day outfit out on the town. I love dressing in casual yet chic, modern and elegant clothes that give off an air of sophistication without being too stuffy and buttoned up.

Fashion & Art is Life

Posted by Unknown On 12:07 PM 0 comments

I’ve recently been exploring the art world of second life as a way of broadening my horizons as I also improved and expanded my ever-increasing wardrobe. I just recently visited the Gruntled Gallery by Alexx Fenstalker (aka Thomas Griffith) and wasn’t sure what I was expecting when I steped into his surreal reality. I happened to come across his work through the Showcase SL search and it states, “Apartment 5B is an art installation by Artist Alexx Fenstalker. The installation is meant to be a comtemplation of how mental disorder and family dysfunction affects the lives of those it touches. All aspects of the installation are handmade, including all of the texturse which were painted in gouache.”

I also decided to dress up for the ocassion and gallery viewing with a beautiful dress from | Aleida | that I came across while browsing through the online marketplace for some inspiration. They’re having a closing sale apparently so I’d advise to get your last minute buys while you still can. When I stepped into the so called “apartment 5B” which resembled a small house rather than an actual apartment I was initally confused until I turned on the music and just soaked up the images that my brain attempted to process. I found myself near tears within 10 minutes of visiting and whether it was the inspirational piano pieces by Michael Bartels warbling over the speakers or the desolate and painful images scattered around the room is unclear. But to have something affect me as no art has ever affected me has really brought a new perspective to me and my view on art. If you have the time or the inclination I’d suggest taking a peek at this art. They also have it on sale for a bargain considering what I think it’s work but definitely something that will inspire the senses.

Feel the Rainbow

Posted by Unknown On 12:06 PM 0 comments

Wow. As I write this I feel a little like sleeping beauty or Rip Van Winkle. It’s been so long since I’ve been back to second life and I’ve finally found my bearings again. Due to do some RL complications I had to take a sabbatical so could not do any postings but now that things are a bit calmer I plan to get back into the blogging game. I really agonized over what I wanted to do with my first post upon returning to the website and it took me a few days before I finally found the idea. I was reading through some RL fashion magazines as I’m wont to do during my downtime at work and came across a lot of ideas about color. It was the prevailing theme in the magazines I ran across and it really resonated with me deep inside.

Color is such a wonderful and creative thing and yet a lot of us fear it when interjecting it into our own wardrobe whether it be second life or our first lives. I found that I was guilty of this as well. I love color, especially when I am decorating my houses and dealing with interior design projects although I tend to stay with more earthy tones with pops of color. But in my wardrobe I can sometimes be more conservative with color, afraid that I’ll make a mistep with one risky move and instead of being something revolutionary I create something that is disastrous. It has happened time and time again as I’ve seen with many others and I didn’t want to fall prey to that same beast but I’ve decided to be a bit more daring with color and not fear it as much. I wanted to showcase a few outfits that I found that really display the beauty that color is. You’ll find the others in future posts as I finish processing them but I wanted to start off bold.

A tip for those that may be more afraid of playing with color than others would be to start off small. Play with your accessories and their colors first. Learn to add pops of color here and there to create dynamic looks that work for all sorts of occasions. Once you get more confident try playing around with a piece of clothing at a time- a bright shirt with subdued bottoms or vise-versa. Color is all about experiment and I sometimes laugh when I hear how some people think that females must have some special gene to know how colors go together. We know what looks right and what may look wrong but it’s also a matter of personal taste with a touch of societal and fashion trends that determine the way our style can go. It’s something that everyone has to experiment with constantly to make it work so do so. If you’re really a color-phobe then check out full outfits that showcase color in a stylish way that appeals to your senses as I did here. Blue and yellow isn’t something I would’ve originally thought to put together in such a bold way but it worked with this outfit so I had to get it. Buying full outfits in this instance is a way to immerse yourself, dipping a toe in the pool, before you decide to take the plunge.

What I loved most about this outfit wasn’t just the colors although they are eye-catching but the design and cut of it itself. I called it my hobo chic and while it’s not something I would classify as an everyday part of my wardrobe the individual pieces themselves could work with any other number of things I have in my inventory which is something I really look for in full outfits- whether they can be deconstructed later to be put into creative use with pre-existing pieces.

Bare Rose Boho and Business

Posted by Unknown On 11:55 AM 0 comments

So I was in a bit of a quirky mood today and played a bit with some things I had in my inventory. If you’re ever looking to work on your style or create entirely new looks I would advise one and all to take a look at their own closets and use their imagination. It’s amazing how someone I once looked in my 20K filled inventory and complained about having nothing to wear when half of the things I had, I hadn’t even bothered to open after purchasing so it seemed like Christmas time when I finally did.

I was recently organizing a fashion show where part of the theme was Bohemian fashions and it gave me some inspirations to play with a bit. I wanted to wear something fun, colorful and a little offbeat and I think I found my goal.

Check out the Read more tab to see more fashions!

I had nearly forgotten I had a business meeting that day and had to find something appropriate quick in order to make it over there on time and was lucky enough to remember a few pieces i had that I thought would go great together! One of my favorite of all stores in second life is Bare Rose which I think I mentioned in a previous post but it really does bear repeating! Summer Paperdoll

I have discovered a new passion for Agnes Finney – My Precious designs and I am here to share it with the world. Not only does this designer have great quality discounted items for group members – as shown below (25L) but all of her gowns are of the highest quality- if a little more pricey than what I would prefer. I had gotten this dress after I scouted the archives of some of my groups on new releases and gifts and am just now getting around to opening the package and really admiring the work.

The dress is cute, playful and flirty and NOT pink! [laughs] I loved that it had a vibe of spice to it but I wanted to go a girly route and played it up with a sweet hairstyle from Magicka- one of my favorite hair designers in Second Life. I didn’t want to go with heavy jewelry or really take away from the overall outfit so I decided to just accessorize with a necklace and a nice silver detailed clutch. All in all- it was a wonderful find and I would recommend all the readers out there to go check out this designer and join the group to get some great finds if it is your style.

Dress: My Precious – Agnes June (under 25L for group members)
Hair: Magicka – Ribbonetta
Skin: Atomic Bomb – Rocking Friday (under 100L fatpack – gift)
Shoes: Kalnins – Dragoness
Purse: Sculpties Up In Here – TE Black/Silver Snakeskin Purse (xstreet)
Necklace: (Dahlinks) – Purple Crystal and Rubber Choker

SALE ALERT: My Precious has many discounted or on sale items for group members. Joining is free and easy to do!

I mean Business

Posted by Unknown On 11:43 AM 0 comments

[Races in at the last minute with her awesome column] Well I made it again at last. I was just shopping around today for a new outfit- something that screamed sensual sex kitten but one that knows how to take care of business and I found the perfect outfit- all under 125L! As a model and a shopaholic I’m constantly on a budget and I know how a lot of women out there are as well- there are just too many great things out there that we all have to get but we only have a limited amount in our bank account. Who says we can’t be thrifty and stylish at the same time? [Thumbs through the fashionista bible before looking to you and getting silence] That’s what I thought so I took the liberty of blogging out on this cute little outfit that I found on Xstreet.

I’m the first that will admit that while I love a bargain, buying ready made outfits can really sometimes make us lazy as models but when you’re on the go and really just want to get something quick and cute this is a great way to do it while saving up on those lindens! The outfit comes complete with dress, gloves and accessories (came also with a pair of bracelets for each arm but I decided to go without). I was lucky enough to find this great updo from :KC: for 15L (30L for fatpacks) and the sale is still going on so be sure to check it out asap!

Outfit: DivaLicious – Urban Safari (Xstreet for 99L – dress, earrings, gloves & bracelets)
Hair: Kitsune Couture – Hairpin (onyx)
Shoes: Orage Creations – Melanie (black leather)
Skin: Changing Facez : Joy – E

SALE ALERT: Kitsune Couture is holding a sale on ALL hair at the moment for 15L per pack and 30L for fat packs. You don’t know when this sale is ending so get there fast to take a peek! They have some amazing quality hairstyles!

Babydoll Punk

I was in a very sweet mood today and decided go in search of something that would match my insides to my outsides and found the perfect little number in this interesting outfit. One of my hobbies as a fashion minded female is to browse Xstreet’s popular items list on occasion. You’d be surprised with the amount of things you can discover at such great and reasonable prices. Many designers have promo’s that you can take advantage of and I regularly do with the building ones. But I came across this dress I just had to have it and it was only 50L! Can you believe it?

The outfit- Dark Starlite by Gothica – comes with the dress, stockings and a pair of funky heels with or without the designs but I decided to go with this cute and sassy chunky heels with the polka dot bow and carried that through with a lovely short cut hairstyle from :69:- one of my new favorite hair designers! I capped it off with some hot skull and danger necklace and bracelet from :Fusion:. Before vive9 went retired I had the chance to teleport over and grab some of their awesome gifts they had as a farewell but never got a chance to really use it. I fell in absolute skin-love when I saw this gem revealed and just thank my lucky stars I was able to get this when it was free and not in the thousands. The running make-up on the right eye really adds something special to the overall look.

Skin: Lumidee – Vive9 (out of stock)
Hair: Babydoll – :69:
Outfit: Dark Starlite – Gothica (xstreet)
Heels: Chunky Latex Black Pumps w/bow – Lutricia’s Luxuries (xstreet)

Lady Bejewled

Posted by Unknown On 11:39 AM 0 comments

From the time that I began modeling within second life I realized a true appreciation for jewelry, and this is coming from a woman that never bothered with jewelry a day in her life except for a necklace or a pair of earrings that I had on handy. I only really ever owned about 5 pair of earrings and two necklaces total- no bracelets or rings or anything like that. And I bet you wonder if they even matched- not one time did I really ever think about matching anything or how it all went together. SL modeling has had such a great effect on how I see the world of fashion in the real world now and how I take care of myself in real as I’m sure the same can be said for many women and men out there reading this now.

Today I was in a chic, sophisticated mood and needed just the right jewelry to set it off. I had heard about the new releases a bit back with Leezu and new that this would be the perfect opportunity to grab them up- high quality high-waisted pants are so hard to find in second life nowadays! Paired with the lovely and breezy belled arm white blouse from DeLa and some cute, sassy heels from Kookie this outfit says it all for the high powered female of the 21st century! You want to look the best, be the best, then you need to dress the best. The skin is my favorite piece of the entire outfit to be honest. It’s quite hard to find great quality skins of colors- not as hard as it was years ago but still difficult and requires a bit of searching around. There’s usually minor flaws that most tend to overlook but I’m a self admitted perfectionist and I doubt that is ever going to change. This skin store is new and steadily growing but as the designer is a friend of mine I was glad to get some peeks at his great skins and even was asked to for any suggestions on improvement so you just may be see some new additions coming to his store soon- keep an eye out!

Hair: Magika – Robin – Black
Shirt: DeLa – Blouse Vivian White
Pants: Leezu – Lea Pants down/black
Shoes: Kookie – Athena Boots
Bracelets & Nails – *[Mandala]TAKARA Bangle/Buddha Cream White
Skin – Changing Facez – E – Joy Skin
Eyes – Poetic Color – evening sky – medium

Sweet Vive9

Posted by Unknown On 11:36 AM 0 comments

Just have to love the sweetness of (vive9) skins!

Click the Link to Read On

Well there was a new release recently with vive9 skin and I had to get it. Now when I first heard of vive9 I was a bit skeptical of the look, it took a minute for me to really appreciate the quality and uniqueness of this skin. But after a while I was convinced that I the price was definitely worth it. The pink sweetly turned down lip with a few front teeth showing gives a great innocent look and coupled with some dark, dramatic lashes it just really completes the look. At first I was going to go for a valentine day themed and inspired look in a bit more obvious manner but I decided to play with my inventory and this is what I came up with. I’m moving away from my addiction to red and finding the greatness of pink and all that it can really do for a look!

I was in a budget crisis when suddenly it came to me- why don’t I play around with my inventory and create entirely new looks from what I already owned? It’s a practice I encourage every model to take part in as it’s not only fun but it inspires and awakens your creative senses! In this outfit I wanted to go for something sweet and naughty at the same time. The pink lip and sweetly flowing white corset really balance out the bold and black of the top. At first glance one would think it would be overpowering with so many ruffles but as you truly notice the simplicity of the dress you really get the appreciation for the two totally different pieces complementing one another.

So Casual Chic

Posted by Unknown On 11:32 AM 0 comments

Well today was a pretty slow day. I’m sure we’ve all had one of those moments in our lives when we have absolutely no idea what to do with ourselves and you can’t even find the energy to really veg out on the computer or in front of your television set. Well that’s what I was feeling like today and so my boyfriend really tried to get my hopes up by taking me out shopping and sharing some of his new spots. Needless to say I didn’t really find anything suitable to my tastes until my friend Rev hooked me onto this store Zenith. I decided to give it a try after she promised that I would be ready to buy out the entire store the minute I stepped foot in there and since I’ve only ever felt like that with Leezu’s designs I had to take up the challenge and take a peek.

While I didn’t get the insane urge to drop all my lindens on the outfits in the store but I did find a few pieces that really tempted me to pinch my wallet and make it whine a bit. But I chose a really cute and flirty dress and decided to really punk it up just a bit without going over the top with some sheer fishnet tights and some hot buckle boots from G Field that sales the greatest footwear for such affordable prices that I encourage everyone I see now to go check it out and get at least one pair. This is a major steal!

Skin: Curio – Bean [Light] Elf (group gift)

Shoes: G – Field – Short Belt Boots “Emma” (black)

Hair: Maitreya Alex (walnut) (new release)

You are such a Punk!

Posted by Unknown On 11:30 AM 0 comments

Another day and another thousand L spent on some more awesome outfits. Today I was in a pretty casual and punky mood when I went to hang out with my sisters as we celebrated her baby shower for her 9th child. Yes I know what you’re thinking: “Is she from the Brady Bunch??” No she’s just someone that loves being a mother but I digress. I love the classy, high end and chic dresses as much as the next girl- maybe even more so because I don’t wear a lot of dresses in real life. But as I was participating in the Winterchoice 2009 StampCard Event I came across this amazing store and I wanted to be the one to share it with you along with the prize I won.

The pants from NINIKO are probably my favorite pair of the moment- probably the entire month because it’s funky, cute, and comfortable. I decided to go all out in my “I could careless mood” and added some skuffed tartan sneakers from TwentyFIRST from Xstreet. You cannot believe all the great goodies you can find in the popular isle filled with very cheap promo items from quality stores and designers. But with the plaid you know I had to get a nice buttoned white shirt with some suspenders from Naith Smit Designs. It comes in two styles for men and women- black/white shirt and black/white suspenders. I just couldn’t resist with the ciggy. [Grins]

Hair: Magika – Ponyrock – Browns (10L)
Skin: Cyanide – Uma Sunkissed – Kringle (Free- Under the tree @ the store)
Shirt: Naith Smit Design – Fuel for Life – Womens White
Pants: NINIKO – Crease-crease Pants
Shoes: -tF- Grungy Sneakers Tartan (xstreet)
Bracelets: Hermony – Wristband (black) (0L Xstreet)

The wonderful prize that I recieved from NINIKO has become a wonderful and loved addition to my already packed inventory! There are many other prizes you can choose from by a number of great designers so I do encourage you to check it out for more information here!

Lelutka Goodies

Posted by Unknown On 11:28 AM 0 comments

Now I’m sure that everyone loves to get free goodies from their favorite designers. I mean not only having quality but getting it for no cost to you?? What more can you ask for?! I’m also fairly certain that everyone received a ton of great free items, gifts, great dollarbies, etc. over the Christmas and new year holidays. If you didn’t think you weren’t in the right groups and need to get with a friend to fix that asap! Now as a self certified fashionista I love to shop as much as the next girl but even more than shopping I love shopping and finding that bargain! So I was minding my own when what seemed to drop unexpectedly into my lap? These wonderful gifts from lelutka that I just fell in love with the minute I got dressed.

Now I rarely wear gowns except for those special occasions or at a ballroom but these outfits are just so fabulous that I ended up wearing them all through the day! I encourage everyone to join the Lelutka group to get updates and free gifts that are given out periodically. No matter what your style is you can’t deny the quality and sensuality of these gowns. I admit that my favorite of the two is Lelutka- Constricted (first gown) because it gives off that romantic period feel and the corset brings great attention to your waist and adds height and slims you down. The way it nips you in the waist like a lover’s caress just makes it feel luxurious and expensive. The skin I’m wearing was also free from Glance in the Peace On Earth Hunt (ended) but it’ll be back next year so keep on the look out!

Outfits:
Lelutka Ultra Constricted/Romantic (group Gift)
Lelutka Ultra Cylinder Pink (Group gift)
Skin: Glance Adriana Gold (Peace On Earth Hunt)
Hair: Truth Amy Jane (Dollarbie) (1st outfit)
Hair: Truth Dakota Blacks (2nd outfit)

Holiday Party Glam

Posted by Unknown On 11:27 AM 0 comments

Recently I was invited to an awesome trip and party with a group of really great gal pals for a holiday party and I had a blast! As we go through our daily lives the holidays creep ever closer before it gets ready to pounce and there are many things that come to mind when you think of the winter holidays such as food, friends, family, wine, resolutions, gifts, parties, and all the fabulous new clothes that come with a new season! If you’re of the more childish inclined you will probably end up dressed as santa’s helper just to get a chuckle or two- those pointed shoes only come in style once a year after all so why not take full advantage of them?!

But I’m not here to talk about my fetish for Christmas apparel but more to talk about this wonderful little number from Modern Gypsy that brought to mind the holiday spirit but with a touch of glamor and chicness that I just couldn’t pass up on. The texture of the dress is a ruffled chiffon that surprisingly does not make you look shapeless but hugs your body so lovingly with the help of the cinched thick waistline integrated in the dress. The gold brings to mind the starry night sky and festive colors of the new years parties or fully decorated Christmas trees that shine as bright as the sun. I decided to go all out with the gold and got a pair of Gold pumps from Armidi and a wonderfully crafted large garnet necklace that might as well have been designed just for that dress. Definitely a look that one should have in their closets to get ready for all those holiday shindigs. Do you think you can honestly resist such a luscious design?!

Skin: Dangerous Lace – Au Naturale Skin – Tan [Smokey2]

Hair: Bishwear – Benecia – Raven

Jewelry: Paper Couture – Faceted Dark Garnet Necklace

Dress: Modern Gypsy - Heart of Gold

Shoes: Armidi – Dalia Gold Pump

Runway Rockstar

Posted by Unknown On 11:26 AM 0 comments

Now I have to wonder who doesn’t want to be a Rockstar in this day and age? I would think that even the most hardcore bookworm has fantasies of standing in front of an adoring crowd as millions scream his/her name with piercing shrieks of wanting and unrequited love. I know that I’ve had these feelings and dreams a time or two myself- even going so far as to manifest itself physically when I’m standing on top of my bed holding a hairbrush as my loose curls whip across my face while I attempt to give myself whiplash and lip singing to the latest jams. [Frowns at the reader] Hey I’m sure you’ve done something similar as well so stop that snickering over there! But unfortunately unlike the real rockstars I was left stranded on the street without a ride after my buddies forgot me and headed back home. How they didn’t know I wasn’t in the car is anyone’s guess but there it is folks. You can be sure that even though I was without a car and only had 1L to my name I was rocking that roadside curb as I tried to hitch a ride back south.

As a model I get a bit of that fame and glory even if sometimes I don’t even realize it or can’t fully appreciate it with all the work I have to do constantly that overrides that feeling of joy and exalt at times. It’s been getting a bit chilly lately as the winter season crawls upon us and turns our blood to ice but I wasn’t feeling a thing with my new faux fur coat from Aoharu. It is definitely bound to keep you warm and stylish in even those most frigid of temperatures. Unfortunately for me I had decided to go with a stylish and daring short over the eye sweep cut from MADesigns and my neck was feeling a bit of the wind’s bite. I was never one for the whole flashy and ostentatious look so I decided to go with the Glam Goddess Rocker rather than the all out wild child rocker. It’s a look anyone can pull off- staying casual yet stylish and up-t0-date in this nice cool piece. Who says you have to be all flash and glitter to rock it out?

A day at Zombieland - How fun!

Goulie2

Well yesterday you heard of my harrowing tale with those women that could model for women on steroids but today I wanted to talk about another journey I had while visiting zombieland. Well it’s not really zombieland as one would know it but it certainly was an interesting vacation that’s for sure. As you can see by my pictures, it’s taking me a while to heal from the wounds and so have been out of commission on any modeling jobs or fashion shows. [sniffles sadly as she thinks about her dwindling career before squealing as one of her eyeballs pop out and hang down her face. She starts emitting tiny squeaks and chants of "ew", "gross", and "oh my god!" as she valiantly tries to stuff it back in the socket without getting too much eyeball juice on her fingers.]

Okay…well…it seems that you are all lucky enough to see me in a new light! But as I was saying I had gotten an invitation to check out Bailers Outfitters and their new Halloween attraction. They promised that it would be scary beyond belief and to bring a few of my friends in case I passed out from the shock. Needless to say I’m one that likes to live dangerously and decided to brave the untested waters and haunted lands by my lonesome and I’m glad to say that I’m still standing. It seems when you first teleport in you end up at the mainstore and will have to walk down the stairs to the UFO sighting to get to the truly spooky part of the attraction. Beware of that staircase! That fall could be a killer! Fortunately I had duct tape and reinforced staples holding me together so I didn’t have to worry overmuch. [Grins]

There were a few people shrieking and crying as the zombies chased them around the graveyard. It seems looking like Freddy Krugar’s construction paper project can open a lot of doors for you and keep your butt alive in some pretty sticky situations! It seemed like my look became my automatic pass and I was taking full advantage of it, sitting down at the local Bait & Burgers shop as I watched the ghosts and ghoulies scare the residents. I have to say that despite the disgusting and misleading name they had some awesome rare meat which is something I normally stay away from considering the calories but as I said- I like to live dangerously!

Now even looking like death personified I had to dress up for the occassion and what better way than to go through my gothic dresses and outfits. This is one of those times of the year that you get to go all out and pretty is just overrated and disdained. It’s time for the ugly ducklings to take back their crown for one week of the year and rock it out! The outfit I decided to don tonight was a cute little sassy number by She Wants Revenge. I will note that there have been a few rumors about this particular designer but as I do not have all the facts I’m not going to be one to speculate and instead just enjoy! I think the red of the dress really brought out the blood seeping from my stitched wounds don’t you? [smiles sweetly]

Be sure to join the Starwalkers and Best of SL groups for more information on upcoming attractions for the coming Halloween night. It’s a great way to get out with your friends and enjoy all the scary ghoulies!

I knew it was coming...

[Gasps and grunts as she falls on the computer to begin typing, frowning at her pinky hanging by a piece of bone before picking up a nearby stapler and placing it back on. She gives her hand a flex before descending on her poor computer, pounding on the keys hard and fast.] I knew this day would come! I hoped it wouldn’t but I knew it would and silly me they caught me off guard to in the back room after one of my fashion shows. [Shakes her head in disgust] Let me start from the beginning my dear friends and readers. I was just finishing up with a Halloween fashion show when three burly, hairy fat models- yes those witches were as big as my condominium- if I had a condo that is! [Harumphs in satisfaction at the dig and continues] Let me also add they had huge hips that it was a wonder they could make it through the door of the auditorium!

Charm - Wishbox

Now as I was saying. These….*bleepin bleeps* (I’m sure kid avi’s probably read this ya know…) dragged me behind the bushes after everyone had left the stadium and proceeded to hold me down- I think one of them actually sat on me with her buick hips but I was having the air crushed from my delicate lungs so I really couldn’t say for sure- and they began to argue on what to do about me. I gleaned a few tidbits as I was huffing and puffing for precious gasps of air. These Bitc…..*bleeps* were jealous! I know what you’re thinking! It’s crazy! [glares at the reader] You do NOT have to agree so readily ya know! But they were jealous of little old humble and sweet me! Now I know I’m a fine specimen and many may be envious of me in some ways but that does not mean that it calls for what they did to me. I won’t go into the gory details so much but I will say that it involved a box cutter, salad fork, two AA batteries, a wedge lime, and a small skinny and long legged rat…On second thought it may have been a chihuahua- I’m beginning to think one of these *bleepity bleeps* was Paris Hilton but don’t quote me on that. As I was said earlier I was running on precious little air supply.

So after they finished their nefarious actions and the skinny rat thing finished humping my foot they left me for dead, never even suspecting that I would survive but look at me now you *bleepers*! I was lucky they had a roller cart nearby- those big rolling carts that you can find at Home depot when you’re been so greedy on your shopping spree that not even a normal shopping cart can hold your crap. After gather my bits and pieces on it I began to roll and push myself to the nearest hospital- 10 miles away!! The doctors looked at me like I was a freak- actually what they really did was laugh when I said I needed to be stitched up again because they thought I was playing some Halloween joke but after beating him and the nurse over the head with with my bloody stump of a leg they finally took me seriously and dragged me to the ER. I have no idea how someone in a few pieces could be playing a joke!

Now after I skipped out on my hospital bill- who would’ve thought 10 yards of string and a needle could cost so much- I had to run to a shop to get some clothes and was lucky enough to get out with this little number! Yes I stole it! (Not really. I couldn’t hobble fast enough and so got caught by the security guard and had to pay him with my last few bills that was stuck in my hair) And now here I am, telling you about my gruesome little story and I pray that those heffers don’t meet up with me one day. Watch out Paris! But it just goes to show you even that couldn’t stop me from rocking this outfit, a cute little number called Charm from the Wishbox along with my gorgeous updo from red Queen.

Happy Halloween!

All Hollow's Eve

It’s counting down and I’m going to be bringing you nothing but Halloween goodies until the big day to make sure that you have the perfect outfit and custom for All Hallows Eve! It’s going to be a night to revel in and enjoy to the fullest while letting your darkest desires reign free and I for one can’t wait to let my little devil out to play. [Grins]

RFyre - Cake or Death - Crimson

I was sitting at home when I heard some fabulous news from RFyre and their hot new Halloween sale madness and just had to pop over for a peek at what they had. As anyone that has read any of my previous posts, you know that I like to think of myself as a budget fashionista and love to get clothes at a discount of a price. Something about getting designer clothing pieces for half the cost while the rest of the world ran out like fools to get it the minute it came out at an costly price. A few of the items weren’t really up to my taste but I came across a few other pieces that immediately caught my eye. Now I’m not one that is into period pieces overly much or in the role-play aspect of it. Hell even the thought of wearing a huge ball gown makes me itch and cringe at the lag disaster I know it can turn out to be.

But this gown immediately made me want to have it and I believe that’s a great quality for any outfit to have, especially coupled with the advertisement of it. Now the gown is called “Cake or Death- Crimson” and for some reason it reminded me of a hilarious comedian by the name of Eddie Lizard and one of his stand up shows. It also brought to mind Marie Antoinette, which I’m sure was their aim. The outfit comes with everything you need including some marvelously detailed period crimson ankle boots except a much needed pair of earrings and maybe a nice pearl ring. They also have the dress in black for those that would like to go a bit more gothic and brooding.

RFyre - Gothic Doll 1

Now another outfit that made me tag it and bag it was a cute little doll number that matched the living doll skin I had perfectly. It had a bit of dark and brooding sass and playfulness to it that I loved. Instead of the overly used black they decided to throw in a splash of bold color through the stripes and a cute collar and some strapped shoes. I decided to dress it up a bit more to make it pop with a really bold hairstyle by Nikita Fride, a designer that has fabulous bold creations perfect for the Halloween season if you are interested in skins or hair to match that awesome new dress you got. Overall it was a fabulously successful hunt and I’m so glad that I decided to get up off my laurel and hit the shops! Happy Halloween hunting everyone!!

Sensual Sophisicate

Everyone who is anyone has heard those words that make every female light up with shopping lust and men just sigh and light up with plain old lust. [laughs] I recently won a contest and received a gift card and couldn’t wait to use it! Unfortunately I could only afford one outfit- I know, such injustice! I was standing in that store for over an hour switching my cam between every item about to blow up from the overload of all the beautiful lingerie lining the walls but gladly for me I made it out of the store alive and with a wonderful purchase that I’m ecstatic to share with everyone tonight. Blacklace’s Red Satin & Lace Diva set caught my eye almost immediately when I saw it. After much debate I knew that I just couldn’t pass up such a juicy morsel.

I absolutely adore red. Something about the passion and heated emotions that it brings out in me just draws me right in and I would have an entire wardrobe in nothing but red if it didn’t send me to the nut house! [Grins]

It took me a bit of shopping on Xstreet but I finally found a set of pearls [Black Knotted & Long beads necklace] that fit my style and the look I had been aiming for perfectly. It gave a bit of class and sophistication with such a sensual and luscious outfit. The cincher of the outfit hugged my curves so lovingly and set off my figure to perfection, outlining it well. I completed the look with a pair of earrings [Timeless Pear Earrings] from Earthstones Jewelry. It was so difficult to just choose one piece of jewelry for this particular set because there are so many possibilities that can be reached. A nice pearl choker with long hair over the shoulder or a beautifully crafted updo can make it equally luxurious. I chose a short cut for my hair style to show off the beautiful pearls adorning my ears.

Lingerie is something that we all overlook sometimes in SL I believe, especially if one might be single such as myself. You ask yourself, what’s the point if you don’t intend to ever really do anything or have no plans to do so? And unlike in real it’s hardly ever possible to wear such lingerie under our normal casual clothes or dresses so you can’t even brag [guess what I'm wearing underneath this dress!]. But it’s something that I believe should be used a lot more often, single or not! Heck walk around your apartment in lingerie if you want to get your money’s worth! But if you don’t have a great set in your inventory then I advise you to run- not walk- to your nearest boutique and get yourself some!
